RODE NT-SF1 SoundField Ambisonic Microphone
The Rode's NT-SF1 is an ambisonic condenser microphone that provides clear and accurate 360° sound reproduction for recordists in virtual reality, film production, and video game audio. Four 1/2" TF45C cardioid condenser capsules are placed in a tetrahedral array and connected to an XLR 10-pin connector for four-channel, A-format output. Each capsule has a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and is powered by 48 VDC phantom power. Even better, the free SoundField by this microphone ambisonic processor plug-in allows for flexible B-format polar pattern and output format adjustment. A unique shock mount, spherical windscreen, fuzzy wind cover, and a breakout cable that converts the XLR 10-pin output to four conventional XLR 3-pin connectors are further included in this NT-SF1.
