The Rode's STEREO VIDEOMIC X is the finest on-camera broadcast-grade stereo condenser microphone. Its all-metal structure makes it extremely durable, making it excellent for professional use while also delivering high levels of RF interference protection. This microphone has a matching pair of 12" true-condenser capsules that are stacked in an X-Y arrangement to create a very immersive experience. Even better, the Rycote® Lyre® shock-mounting mechanism supports each capsule, isolating it from vibration as well as knocks and bumps. The SVMX's digital switching allows the user to regulate the level adjustment (-10dB or +20dB), high-pass filter (0/75/150Hz), and a novel high-frequency boost (+6dB @ XHz) to improve dialogue intelligibility. Professional-grade balanced outputs are accessible on the side of the body, in addition to the RF-protected 3.5mm stereo output cable, which is a first for the VideoMic family.
