AKG P120 High Performance General Purpose Recording Microphone
This condenser microphone from AKG is designed to deliver clear, distortion-free sound at an affordable price, whether you're recording vocals at home or mixing up guitar cabs and drums on stage. In addition to bolstering durability, this metal side-address microphone is designed to block RF interference from wireless systems. This microphone stand adapter allows it to be mounted directly to your existing mic stand. Moreover, P120's low-mass 0.67" gold-sputtered diaphragm produces detailed sound above 10 kHz with a slight high-frequency rise, and it can handle SPLs up to 150 dB (-20 pad on) without audible distortion. Apart from that, it is possible to engage a low-cut filter at 300 Hz to reduce rumble, wind noise, or even bass buildup from up-close mixing. Also, this mic's cardioid polar pattern minimizes background noise and stage bleed, since it is most sensitive to sounds directly in front. Use a separately available XLR cable to connect the P120 to an XLR mic input that can supply 48V phantom power.
