The Rode's VIDEOMIC ME is a directional USB microphone for smartphones that is small and light. It has a built-in 3.5mm TRRS output that may be plugged straight into a smartphone's headphone jack. The microphone can be attached to the primary camera or the front camera ('selfie') using the microphone's flexible mounting bracket, which fits a wide range of smartphones. A 3.5mm headphone port on the back allows for audio playback while recording (app dependant) as well as quick video playback without removing the microphone. For shooting outside or in inclement weather, the VideoMic Me comes with a luxurious fuzzy windshield.
