SHURE 55SH Series II Microphone
The Shure's 55SH is an unidyne cardioid dynamic microphone with a classic aesthetic and vocal-tailored sound. The dynamic cartridge is shock-mounted to prevent handling noise and vibrations from being transmitted to your mic stand. The use of a cardioid polar pattern can also reduce off-axis noise and ambient pickup, resulting in higher gain before feedback and reduced stage bleed. Even better, the microphone has a 50 Hz to 15 kHz frequency response, with a modest presence boost peaking around 6.5 kHz. Most mixer inputs, microphone preamps, and portable PA systems are compatible with its XLR 3-pin output. The microphone has an on/off switch for easy muting between speeches or performances. The 5/8"-27 thread swivel mount is self-tensioning and may be turned up to 45 degrees forward and 80 degrees backward. Tour-worthy durability is provided by the chrome die-cast metal structure.
